Yep - I was delayed in having surgery because of insurance denial, so I am actually 10 lbs heavier than when I started working on this last May. I started liquids/shakes and no other food today and already cheated 
but I think I still ate less than usual. However, I know what you mean - it isn't easy.
My surgery is Jan 6th. Best of luck to you!

i went to see my doc for my pre-op and i gained 10 pounds!
so i said to him, "its water weight ? " lol, then i tried to blame the holidays,lol. so we got to the topic of liquid diet and when to start and my doc said "now" lol, i almost died, i was thinkin wait! my surgery isnt until the 19th i have until the 4th to start, lol, but he wasnt havin that, he said start now so after new years eve tomorrow ill be in exile everyone,wish me luck!

My surgery date is January 8th so tomorrow (New Year's Eve) will definitely be my last big chow down. I plan on having breakfast and lunch with my favorite dine out friends and then chow down on pub food (fish and chips, potato skins, etc etc ETC****il midnight. and of course...a martini or two...or three...or four....I think I'll need a cab home.
