Hello January surgery pals!  Are we all excited yet that our month is coming tomorrow?!!!  I'm excited and i'm getting nervous too.  I have to be at the hospital at 6 am. and they say my surgery is scheduled for 7:45 am.  Dr. Clarke said the surgery is less than an hour and that assuming all goes well i will be going home early afternoon.  He said i will be on liquids for 5 to 7 days and then i can have mushies.  Yea!  I can NOT wait to be able to drink MILK!!!! I miss it sooo much.  I hope that i didn't hurt anything by not following the pre-op liquid diet to the "T".  I did cheat and i did go out drinking with my girlfriends a few weekends.   That is what is making me the most nervous.  Tomorrow i am on clear liquids only and i've been taking the lovely milk of magnesia to clean myself out.  Fun!  Well here's hoping my surgery goes well and that my new life begins without a hitch!  Keep me in your prayers please!  I'll check in as soon as i can.  ;)

What is your pre-op diet?? Mine is 2 weeks of Medifast shakes! They are horrible! I am supposed to drink 5 a day!  I want to eat!
You have probably read this already because I have been whining about it on several other posts.
Sorry, but why do some people get to eat on pre-op diet and some are lucky that they don't have to to any diet??
I have only had 1/2 shake so far. They are gross!

Hello fellow pre-ops,
OMG! I am on day 2 of Medifast. The shakes suck! I am supposed to get 5 in a day! Yesterday  I was only able to get 3 in. I have a headache and I want food! What if we go out for New YEars dinner??
OK, enough whining!
Do you know some people don't have to do any pre-op diet?? I am a lightweight and I am one of the unlucky ones that has to just have shakes.
