Hi. Yea the chocolate is what i favored too...try some mint extract with it. yummy.  I actually called the office lst night because i didn't feel the pain meds were working well and Dr. P called me back, what a nice man, that whole practice is awesome, i really feel that they care about the person and not the money.  ONly 9 more days for you!  It comes quick!  I'm just resting today with my laptop.  Was nauseous today upon getting up...have to see how that settles or i may be calling again. they put an anit-nausea patch on me before surgery and i still have it.  I also itch all over my body as well.  Keeping an eye on things tho.  K, gonna go rest.  ttyl.

Topic: New here to the Board
Good Morning Everyone,

I am new here to this board, just found it actually. My surgery date is this Friday (9 Jan), and I am doing the Lap Band. I will be traveling to my parents place (3 hrs) from mine since the hospital is 30 minutes from them. I have a list of stuff I need to bring, any tips would be greatly appreciated. I'm exicted but also a little nervous.

Thanks,
foxywii

My girls are 3 and 1.  My parents will be looking after them for 5 days and then my sister will be on stand-by for afew days.  My husband is not able to take alot of time off of work, so this is the best that I can do.

The first day is the worst! Today is my 5th day and I have to say it is hard for me to get 5 shakes in a day. I can usually do 4. I think it will be easier when I get back to work because that will be all I have to eat. I have not really been hungry and the chocolate ones are the only ones I can tolerate. I have put 2 packs in about 12 oz with ice and it is ok.
I have 7 more days to go!
Talk top ya soon,
Lisa

Kim,
Congrats! See it was over before you knew it!
How are you feeling today?? Make sure you get the rest early on. Don't try to do too much at first. This way you will feel much better later on.
Keep me posted!
I am still Medifasting, trying to get 5 shakes in a day. Traded some flavors for chocolate(this is the only one I can tolerate).
Talk to ya soon,
Lisa
