Liquid diet was a nightmare for me - literally.....

I was violently ill for like 3-4 days after starting it and I thought I was allergic to the powder (nice try, huh?).  Called the doc and they told me what I had experienced was normal for the liquid diet.  It was worse than the pains of childbirth. 

I'm hearing that some of you are allowed FF puddings and strained soups. That's pretty cool.  I was given the Optifast and told to take it 4 times a day and I was allowed lettuce with vinegar, celery, clear broth ir SF Jello.  That's it.  No one told me to be sure to drink a TON of water along with it or that I could have SF Jello.

PS Banana flavoring and instant coffee in the shake makes it bearable for me.

I am right there with you!! I started my liquid diet today and I am just praying I don't get any headaches.. thanks for some of the good tips.. I hope to get thru this quickly!!!

you guys are the best! i'm definitely going to try freezing my shakes and some sf jello as well as some sf popsicles...i've actually had somewhat of a stomach bug the last 2 days..so i can't eat to much unfortunately..i've resorted to some ginger ale just so i don't 'get sick'
