Topic: no pre-diet??
I was wondering I have been reading alot on here where some of the doctors require a liquid diet before surgery. Mine does not I am just NPO at midnite the nite before. What is the reason for a liquid diet before hand? and if it is important why don't all doc require it then? Just wondering, I am eating light  the nite before reguardless.
Well I finally have my date it is January 7th 2009, So I will be starting off in the new year with a new me.

Topic: RE: Egg timer to eat
Yeah I have I work with a nurse that had her surgery done 2 yrs ago and used that to help remind her that she needed to eat, She said for the first few days she had to make herself eat and not just sip on things so she used a timer did well for her. I am for anything that makes my life a little easier at this moment.

Topic: Egg timer to eat

Hello...I was wondering if any of you have heard or know someone that uses a 3 minute egg timer between bites/sips to control how fast they eat?  This was recommended to me by a nurse who's had the surgery.....just wondering if anyone else had heard of it and what your thoughts are?

Topic: I am back in town and preparing for next week now!
Hi friends,
We are finally back after 12 days in Disney and now my mind is goig in 300 directions.  I am at work for one week to catch up on all and then off again for my surgery the 14th.  I really missed this site while we were gone!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year.  Are the rest of my January buddies as excited as i am right now??  Even thoguh my doctor only requires two days of liquid diet, i decided to go ahead and start today.  I figured if i can shrink my liver a little bit more, why not do it?

I am trying to think of everything I need to do before next week.  How are the rest of you having surgery next week doing?  And all this month for that matter?
