Topic: RE: no pre-diet??
Jen,
Yep for shrinking the liver. Do you have to do a bowel prep? I have to do citrate of magnesium, a tantalizing lemon flavor. They try to make it look like soda pop! LOL, I can hardly wait. I just had to do a bowel prep for my colonoscopy when I also had my endoscopy. Geez, at least it isn't a gallon of stuff! LOL

Topic: RE: JAN 8TH
Jen,
I am a Jan 8th person too. I have been doing liquid diet since last Friday. No issues so far, but can't wait to eat something with some texture and flavor.
I worked today and will work tomorrow. I am taking Wed off just for R&R and to do the lovely bowel prep (Citrate of Magnesium).
If all goes as planned, I will return to work on Jan 26th,
Always,
Barb

Topic: RE: Jan. 19th for me...
How did day 1 of the liquid diet go for you? I thought it went better than expected, although I admit it's bedtime and I am hungry. I have one bottle of Boost left for the day. I hate to try to fill up on jello or anything else liquid b/c then I'll have to pee all night.
Keep me posted,
Hugs,
Deb
Topic: RE: Huge set back surgery less then a week out
Not eating is a bad idea....eat protein, drink lots of water till the night before weigh in. Can you get a little extra exercise in? Weigh in first thing in the morning if possible, light clothes. You can do it... hang in there... believe in yourself!!! Good luck. Let's us know how it goes.

Hey this is my day one, too. Didn't do to bad either. I am determined to stick to it to the best of my ability. Is your surgery on the 19th, too? My worst moment today was watching DH eat breatfast at Denny's. Oh, well... So far, so good.
Hugs,

Topic: Day 1.... Down...13 More to GOOO
Day 1 is DOWN!
I survived, it wasn't sooo bad. Although, I did almost have a meltdown at dinner! For whatever reason it really affected me that my husband and son were eating and I was drinking, broth and a shake. I mean they were eatiing chicken, carrots and salad... But for me, it was because I could not have it that I wanted it. I didn't even need it.... I was content with my shake and my broth.
I just can not get over... how mental this whole proccess is! I am thankful on how much I am learning about myself!! ITS AMAZING!
Hopefully with time... Things will get easier.
