Day one is always the hardest. I am married with five kids and cook two meals for them a day. I so felt like giving in on several occasions. I was jealous and almost bitter, but it is al worth it. I would not take it back for anything. Good luck to all of you who have your big day coming up. I know you will do well. I had surgery just 4 1/2 months ago, and am down almost 90 pounds. Yes, some of it has been hard to adjust to, but being healthy is awesome, and not having to look in the plus size clothes.... even better!!!!! Good luck!!!!

I lived on CoCo Wheats as a kid. So I bought some last night.. guess our tastes really do change after surgery.

I get what your feeling. Let me just say I don't even have an actual surgery date yet ( I just know it'll more than likely be the last week of January) and I am already freaking out. Its not about the actual surgery or the procedure or even the aftermath. I think its more being stuck in the hospital. I hope I can leave the next day. I would really like to be outta there quick.

Wow!!! Day 11 - way to go!!!! 
Today has been rough, but I'm stickin with it and will probably go to bed early again tonight. My mom wants McDonald's for dinner, so I will pick that up on my way over, get her started and then go to the waiting room until she's done. I have my protein shake for dinner with me, so I can do that while she eats.
I'm sort of grumpy today...LOL...but I can do this!! I've come too far and worked to hard to mess it up now!

hey,,,yes i feel the same way u do ...my surgery isn't until Tuesday...but i have been scared....and have had a few bad thoughts.....but we will get Thur this....ur not alone tho...i think we all kinda feel like that at some point....but i will keep u in my thought..and send u a lot of good thought..

I was just looking at the updated surgery list. Please add me. I am sheduled for lap RYN 1/14/09. I am so nervous. I keep reading everyone's post. I'm currently fighting a bad cold? My husband started feeling congested a couple of days prior to Christmas. We even started sleeping in separate rooms in attempt for me to avoid it but Christmas day I was sick too. My doctor prescribed an antibiotic just in case it was something other than the cold virus but I still feel bad. Not as congested though. I'm still coughing up some "yucky stuff" each day. I have a really bad headache. I have almost no energy. I hope this will not hinder my surgery!
