Hi January Surgery Friends,
Tomorrow is the big day for many of us. I wanted to thank all of you for sharing your knowledge, honesty and yourself as we embark on this journey to health and a new life.
I have all of you who have had surgery or will have surgery in my thoughts and prayers and know we're going to share positive stories. Our surgeons and their staffs are the best and will bring us through the 1st part of our journey with expertise and care and I say prayers for them as well.
I will post again when I get home and hope you will do the same.

Good Luck with surgery!!! Wishing you the best. I, too, had terrible night-before-surgery nerves. I had to stay strong in front of my daughter, but inside I was a mess. I had a terrible headache all that night, was sick to my stomach, and couldn't sleep! Just what a person needs before hand. Take Care ~Jodie~

I think stress plays a little role there. Can you take a nice warm bath with some nice music and just relax a little? My surgeon says I can take Tylenol, is this something you can take too?
I am saying a prayer that you feel better soon. We have a BIG day tomorrow.

I am so with you! Luckily though I don't have anyone I need to cook for. My husband is fending for himself (he's being very supportive). But I wanted something to eat sooooooo bad today (I'm also on day 3..but I still have 13 days to go...well...more like 12 now). I just wanted to run into any place with food and have some...but I didn't. I came home and had some broth and a protein shake and am now drinking some Fuze Slenderize. But man am I grumpy! I get grumpy when I get hungry, and I'm friggin starving!!! Nothing seems to help and they had food alllll around me today at work (chips - 3 bags - on the filing cabinet behind my cube along with a box of chocolates, and 2 boxes of crackers. In the cube in front of me (it's empty) they had a big bag of home made cookies. Someone opened the chips, I heard it and I swear I smelled it! LOL Today tested me, but I made it through.

My surgery date is tomorrow. I'm so ready for it to be done already.
I'm just soooo hungry. I've been on a liquid diet for a week- 3 slim fasts a day, sugar free jello and broth are all i'm allowed to have. I'm chomping on some sugar free gum right now.
Gotta leave for the hospital at 5:30am tomorrow. Let's get this show on the road!!!

I have been on Medifast shakes since 12/30 and I have to say that I have snuck a few things in. Since I could have nothing else but 5 shakes a day. I want to surgeon yesterday and he made me feel Ok by saying that I was fine. I still have lost 11 lbs. My surgery is Monday so i will try to stick to the shakes until then. Maybe another 5 lbs will fall off! I am looking forward to the clear liquids post op though. It will be nice to have broth and SF jello compared to these yucky shakes!
