I am so proud of you!!
Doesn't it feel awesome!!!
(((HUGS)))
Are all of you serious??
Doesn't sound like your ready for this or you would not have CHEATED!!
What is wrong with you guys??
I am sooo disappointed in you all.
You are only cheating YOURSELF. If you cant stick to this liquid diet for a few weeks how the hell are you going to eat right for a life time. You guys are not ready for this WLS and are not taking this seriously enough. Its not funny or cute that you cheated. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. How dare you cheat and then brag about it on here. Cheese piazza...really??? REALLY!!!! Was it worth it? Was it really worth it??
That's sad. It really is. If your pre-op diet is any indication of your future success then you just proved your going to fail. If you cant get your mind right..then this GIFT that you are going to be given is going to be worthless. Your wasting your time if you cant even get through a few weeks of liquid/protein dieting.
Id love to hear your excuses as why you think its OK to CHEAT. And mind you ...that is what they are...excuses. Excuse is what got all of us here. You all know better...one bite leads to another and then another. You have got to get serious about this. What have you proved to yourself?? Think about it...what has cheating on this diet REALLY proved to you.
If i were you guys...i would really take a long hard look in the mirror and really reconsider if this is the right time in your life for this surgery??
I know I'm going to get alot of negative responses for this post...but I'm not going to sugar coat anything in my life anymore. My life and health mean more to me then a slice of pizza or some corn bread. ( both are things i would of traded my kids for at my biggest weight mind you.)
I ordered pizza last night for my family (cuz its Thursday and that is what we have always done)
My husband ate a large all meat stuffed crust pizza right in front of me.
DID I CHEAT.....NO....
DID I WANT TO...YES...
DID I CALL MY SURGEON AND ASK IF I COULD HAVE JUST ON LITTLE SLICE...YES...
DID I EAT IT.....HELLLLLL NOOOOOOOO!!!!!

The surgeons nurse said there are 3 kinds of protein drinks.
Lactose, soy and whey. I already know the first 2 wont work for my tummy so this weekend i am going to go get something with whey as a base.
I figured the gator-aide was OK since i am not eating or drinking the way i am suppose to....and its wayyyy watered down. Maybe only about 32oz if that a night but your right. Ill just stick to water.
I didn't eat or drink anything yesterday. I stopped into my PCP office yesterday to weigh myself on their scale (277 but they are the only ones that weigh me so light..gosh i love their scale), mind you i have not been in since i think Sept. The girl at the front desk was so happy to see me and said..." how did the surgery go...you look great!!" I smiled and said i didn't have it yet...LOL She said it looked like i was doing good on my own...LOL well yeah...DUH...if you don't eat and are freaked out the surgeon wont do your surgery if you don't lose some weight....you bet i look like i have lost weight!!
I am leaving in a few hours for me EGD. Its a 2 hour ride so hubby is going with me.
Highest weight ever.....330+
when i met the surgeon in Sept.....307
weighed on my scale today.....282
( i don't know how close my scale weighs to the surgeons office??)
goal weight per surgeon......153
***I hope to lose a ton more b4 my surgery on the 19Th. I want to be in the low 270's on my scale. I have no doubt ill get there. 260 would be even better...LOL

Day 3 after surgery - I was able to sleep on my side with a pillow under my tummy last night - this was heavenly and relieved my neck muscles a lot. I normally change positions a lot when I sleep, so having to be careful while sleeping isn't great, but still I slept reasonably well.
I was sitting up and walking a lot of the day today, took 1 hr nap, and finally laid down again around 5:30 tonight. I have one incision that is getting a little red so I'll watch it.
But mostly pain free - sore muscles from awkwardness yesterday was painful, but the sore muscles are also getting better.
BUT - I am still very bloated despite gas-x and walking. I can't seem to pass any of the gas. so I am just a balloon. It feels like I did when I was pregnant and there was a baby pushing on my ribs!
