My surgery is Tuesday! Yay! 
I've been on the liquids since Dec. 30th, and the first few days were the roughest, but then I got used to it. I had no energy at first, but it came back, too. It's still no fun, but I'm so close now!
I can't believe it.
One reason is because the nurse called my insurance company yesterday(BCBSGA) to confirm that we were good to go, and they told her that my window for the surgery had ended on Dec. 29th, and we'd have to resubmit for preapproval.
(My case was opened on Sept. 30th, then I was denied. The denial is supposed to move my window opening date to the denial date because you have 90 days to appeal.) So I called them with my appeal and tried to explain this, but they wouldn't budge.
The nurse called them back today, and she convinced them that we were right. I was so excited when she called me!! It was almost the end of the day, and I'd given up already.
I was planning my great dinner in my head. But that phone call gave me the inspiration I needed to keep going!

Don't forget me!!! I am repoting in at the hospital at 6am and surgery is at 7:30.
I cannot beileve how fast the 12th has come, but sure enough it is almost here!!!!

Honk! Honk! Right here behind you all. January 12th and reporting in at 7:00am. Surgery should be at 9:00am. Good luck to everyone and congrats to surviving the wait!

sorry you are not feeling well. Hope the gas issues go away soon. Keep us posted and try and get some rest. Nurse told me today the best thing for me after surgery for the gas is to walk walk walk. Take care.
