Hi I wanted to join also. My surgery is also scheduled for the 14th. I'm lucky my hospital is only ten minutes from home .  Good luck to all of us.

I just wanted the WHOLE board to know how SORRY I am for upsetting kimberwig65.
 In a post titled "UH-OH" I replied very passionately and obviously offended her.
(i probably offended more then just her)
She stated she would not be back on this board because me. That was never my intent.

If everyone would instant message her and tell her how much you all love her that would be fabulous!! I want to make sure she goes off to surgey knowing how much eveyone here...yes me included...want her to do well!

I just wanted to take the time to tell everyone that i am SORRY.

Update - I am still extremely bloated on Day 4 after surgery.  I am adding Benefiber to my drinks tonight and tomorrow.  Walking doesn't seem to help, rather in my case two things are helping:

Lying down (which moves the gas down instead of up), and using my abdominal muscles more since they are less sore than 2 days ago when I was sore from moving around awkwardly and trying not to strain my incisions.

So - We'll see!.  I saw another post that said it took 2 weeks for the bloating to go away.

It's great to hear you're doing so well!  I was banded the same day, and am still very bloated also.  I had the worst sore muscles on Day 2 from moving around awkwardly trying not to strain my incisions.  But that is almost gone as of Day 4, and the sore throat is gone.  But the bloating continues.  I can feel my band under my sternum, and when I swallow pills I can feel them, but they aren't stuck really.

Initially I gained weight after surgery - I may have been dehydrated, and drinking again added a few lbs.  So I hope to see that plus a few more lbs in a week...
