Congratulations JessNY.  I am also having my surgery tomorrow.  I am excited that the day is finally here!  I might get nervous when I'm in the hospital, but I hope not.  I have been waiting for this since last March when I went to my first support group meeting.

You all are making me feel so excited!  I am just waiting to hear the date!  I feel like time is moving in slow motion.  Also, I've been cleaning, deep cleaning, like I'm trying to let go and say good bye to everything about the old me.  I am ready, I am so ready.  My office looks like I moved out.  I just want a fresh clean start.  No reminders of the pain and unhappiness that I have lived with this past 6 years at 300 pounds!!  I can't wait to follow your stories, I wish you the best!

Congradulations!  Surgery is Wednesday the 14th!  I feel the same way as you excited, nervous, anxious! As this is the second time around for me due to medical reasons.. kinda sucks.. but hey, it is all good! I have to be on a liquid diet the day before is all that is a breeze... I am having an lap. RNY revision.   I am a little on the scared side though. They tell me complactions are greater this time around. But I have great support so it will be good!  Best of luck to you on Tuesday!  Let the loosing begin!

I have problems with anxiety and I do have a prescription that helps.  Boy, I'm glad I've had them these past few days.  I've been very nervous about my surgery on 1/20. I keep telling myself that I will not change my decision based on fear.  So far, that's all I think it is.  I talk to supportive friends and family.  I get on this site and realize I'm not alone.  The most important thing for me is to have faith and to turn this over to god - a higher power - to whatever works for you.
