I just went to my preop and I asked for the 5th time are you sure I shouldn't be on some sort of liquid diet? I was told no the only thing is the day before not to pig out, but eat something light like fruit, yogurt, and stuff like that. I have to go shopping next weekend to get my protein shake mix. I really wanteed to get it done this week but had other things to do. Good luck with your pre-op diet.

Hey Lauren,
Sorry to hear you had complications but at least everything was found and fixed. Hope you are able to go home soon to better recoup. Feel better soon and let us know what happened when you can. Take care,

I am sorry to hear you are not feeling well.
I wish I had advice but as a pre-op, I don't.
Hopefully it will go away soon.
Does it feel like when you have the flu or something?
I guess you could all ways call the doctor or nurse tomorrow
if it doesn't go away.

That's great about the same incisions.  I agree it is great to have the band also.  I would have cried a lot if they didn't give me the band after that.  The walking isn't too tough!  I'm trying a longer walk today.

Hey maternalgamer,

I was lucky enough that they used the same incisions. I am just glad they were able to keep the band in. I don't think my attitude would be quite so positive if it was taken out for several months. I have been up and walking around quite a bit, the staff at the hospital were impressed. THey mentioned I was walking pretty fast, and I thought I was walking slow. I am just taking it one day at a time and following the dietary instructions given to me.
