HI ladies & Gents -
I had surgery on the 8th & got home on the 13th. The surgery itself went well. However - I had bleeding. Yes from my poop hole (LOL). I passed gas the morning after surgery and I was excited, but then I got up from bed and saw blood. I was excited because I thought it was my period but then went to the bathroom and it was a different story. I had to have 2 blood and 2 plasma transfusions. I also threw up blood 3 times which was terrifying. I was soooo worried but I am home recovering. Dr. Gandsas and his team at Sinai of Baltimore were amazing.

Well that's a good attitude to have. I will take that attitude on girl. I think that is what I'm more afraid of is change. I'm having RNY on January 28. Wish you the best of luck.

WELCOME HOME BARB!!!

I think I may miss food while I'm doing the different phases of the post op diet. I'm on my pre op liquid diet and I was sitting at my desk yesterday crying because I just wanted to eat...but I didn't. It wasn't worth it.
I have to admit, I am a little nervous. I've never had surgery before. I just requested the time off from work so it is starting to feel very real. I still worry that I am going to do something stupid and screw everything up, but I know that I have researched the surgery for years, that it is the right decision for me and I would rather be a little nervous and have the surgery than not have it simply because I am afraid of change.
That's the attitude I am tryingn to keep up anyway.
