Type of Surgery? Lap RNY Gastric Bypass
Start weight? Week pre-op liquid diet started at 280 lbs.
Weight now? 248.8 (down 31.2 lbs)
Any pain left? Nope, the pinch is gone in my right incision and no more tenderness anywhere!
Any complications? Nope, thank God. I am having some discomfort when I introduce the soft foods to my diet (turkey lunch meat, chicken, etc.), I think my pouch just needs to get use to them, they just feel "heavy" in my chest.
How do you feel? I feel great! So much better than before my surgery. I didn't do through "Hell week", no second guessing my surgery (except when I didn't lose any weight in a week, but I just thought I was destined to be fat lol), no regrets at all!
What does is your exercise schedule like? I either go to the YMCA to do the treadmill and elliptical or do my Wii fit and tabata's

How do you feel? Wonderful, except for when I gulp some water or eat something that is too dry... But I am dealing with it and it only last a short period of time.
What does is your exercise schedule like? I walk around my work building a lot for my job and sometimes in 3inch heals. Then we have a gym here today that I will use the treadmills and weight station during the day if I have time. Get home and walk on the treadmill and/or do the Wii fit. If I have had a stressful day I will go home and do a boxing workout on the Wii, it is a great stress release.

Any complications? Just in the hosp when my blood pressure, heart rate and temp went THRU THE ROOF! Scary-then it got controlled, wasn't anything!
How do you feel? I feel good, REALLY good. I'm doing things I thought I never would (already)!
What does is your exercise schedule like? Treadmill for 20 mins every other day no incline at 3.0-working on this but it's what I can do for now. Then I hop off that and do the stationary bike for 5 mins. Then on the other days I do ab-lounger xl for approx 5-7 mins and 5 lb weights bicep/tricep curls (ouch). I'm really trying to push myself-it's hard. So once things become easier I go longer and make it harder on myself. I figure it's the only way I'm going to get results. It's not supposed to get easier-only harder! :) AND I only weigh myself ONCE a week now-when the biggest losers weigh in! :) stupid scale. hate it. so controlling.

nope. Where the drain tube was...and now is a scar..sometimes it itches.
Any complications?
Not really. I had a "surprise hernia" fixed and am really not doing well getting in all my vitamins/protein. I am starting to see thinning of my hair and having a little hair loss. I have a weird rash on my inner thighs that itches like crazy. Going to my PCP Fri. to get it checked out. Oh, when i got home from surgery i had the worlds worst yeast infection in the southern region and on my upper inner thighs and my mouth. Would not have wished that on my worst enemy!! Chicken makes me sick and carbs make me fall asleep. I had a couple of girls scout cookies and bascaily passed out for about 3hrs.
How do you feel?
You know, this is going to sound so bad but i don't feel as good as i thought i would. I still look in the mirror ans see a fat girl looking back at me. I don't get happy when my boss calls me "skinny Minny" or when my customers call me the "shrinking woman". I am not excited about how much weight i have lost. I am bummed out that the weight is not coming off quicker. I had no idea how hard this was going to be. I really couldn't see past just "getting it done". My vitamins make me sick, everything makes me gag and dry heave. Nothing sounds/taste good. Sugar doesn't make me dump so i have cheated here and there.(feel really guilty about it and that's probably why i am not losing as fast!) I joined the YMCA but have only gone twice. I cant seem to get a good schedule down. I am always so tired after work( i work 11p-7a) that i don't want to go and then in the late afternoon when i wake up i am so busy with the kids/husband/house and then its time to go to work again. Sounds like a lot of excuse and I HAVE to start being selfish and putting myself first. Its not a luxury anymore its a necessity for me to be healthy and take good care of myself. I think maybe subconsciously I think this is all just a temporary fix and I will gain it all back and fail like i have done on other "diets". I think that's why i cant get excited! Even buying smaller clothes didn't make me that happy.

Like i mentioned b4, it**** or miss right now for the YMCA. Its soooo cold here in KS that i have not really been outside doing much. When I am at the YMCA i do the treadmill. I am going tonight to meet with the trainer so i can figure out how to use the rest of the equipment. I have GOT to work on my arms. EWW GROSS!! I am also going to get started on the water exercises classes. When it warms up some, i am going to for the first time ever work in my yard. Not just mow it but actually plant stuff!!! I am really looking forward to that.
