Are you getting in your exercise?  You have to make your body need to use up stored energy, otherweise, it just puts you into hibernation and nothing comes off.  Also, make sure you get in your water.  This seems to make a difference for some people.

Hi there, I am just a few days after you (3 weeks post-op today).  I have read form may folks that they tend to stall and it just comes off after that.  Remember to get in your exercise and water and things will break lose soon.  Also, make sure you are following your surgeon's diet recommendations, because if you don't eat enough sometimes that can cause a stall too.

Hugs,
Barb

Is this possibly occurring after you changed what you were eating?  I have seen in my own experience and on some other posts that some people will stop losing weight when they switch from liquids to mushies for example.  I realized that I was making the changes a little too quickly, and taking it a bit slower helped me to get back to losing.  But I also have to watch portion control.  Best wishes to you!  Plateaus are normal.  Many people say they lose weight in a variable pattern - some weeks or months lots, some weeks or months little or none.  They say they lost inches rather than weight at times.

Water, water, water, protein, protein, protein!

I'm telling you get your 64 oz of liquids and 60 or more of protein and you will drop it. I have lost 45lbs since my surgery on January 6th (a month today) and i just focus on the protein and liquid. I go for a walk once a day for about half an hour but thats it because my surgeons like yours and wants us to wait til 8 weeks to do other exercise.

Hey....we have the same surgery date.

I would say a couple of things....one I would be shocked if you are not allowed to walk. Walking is great exercise. I know people who had open RNY and were walking in the hospital the same day. Walk, walk , walk. Another thing is weighing yourself often. I've only weighed myself ( at the Dr's office) once and that was on the 27th of Jan.

As others have mentioned you have to drink your water and get in ALL of your protein. You are not going to get another shot at this. Make sure you do all that you need to do to get the most out of this. Please don't take this as giving you a hard time....Just want to see you do well...

If your going to pee with the puppies you can't run with the big dogs....
