I am on purees and the best things for me are tuna and mayo in the blender, chicken and chicken broth in the blender, and baked salmon and cream cheese in the blender.

i have not tried eggs yet, but plan to try that too with some cheese.  I'm pretty afraid to venture to far out right now!

But the salmon is awesome!!!

I had my first pureed meal tonight, 2 weeks post surgery.  I had 1 oz cottage cheese (pureed) and 1 oz ham & ham gravy baby food.  I added some onion and garlic powder to the baby food cause I heard it's really bland.  The baby food was ok.  I can live with eating it sometimes. I had also been adding spices to broth to add to the taste.  I am going to try to chopped meat with sauce tomorrow.  I'm also going to make some sf/ff pudding and add protein powder.  It's great to be adding different things back into my diet.  I'm learning to enjoy the flavors and really savoring it, instead of shovelling like I did in the past.

I am on the soft food stage now and nothing seems to agree with me. I take it one bite at a time. I finally started my calcium pills and they made me . So now I need to find something that's chewable. I tell ya, it's a process and a learning experience. I welcome all the challenges because I know in the end it will be worth it. Good luck to you!!

Bariatric Advantage offers calcium losenges. That is what I use. they have them in cinnamon flavor. I like the tase f them and I don't get sick from them.
Viactiv makes a calcium chewable also. I have heard other people here talk about them, but I have never used them.
I hope you start to get somes foods in that agree with you. What are you trying so far?

Hi All, I had my RNY 01/12 had my first post op visit today. Started on soft/pureed a few days ago (just could not handle the liquid diet anymore)  I enjoy  1/4 of a cup serving at a time of cream of wheat, malt-o-meal, scrambled egg with salsa & low fat sour cream, re fried beans w/melted shredded cheese, french onion soup w/ melted cheese, miso soup, tuna salad w/ fat free mayo pureed. I am also getting to enjoy V8 juice. I am not tolerating any protein drinks for some reason (milk or soy) any suggestions? Thanks, Happy Eating & Best Wishes To You All On Our Road To Recovery, Robin
