How is everyone???
hey girl...welcome... looks liek your doing well but i so can relate...sometimes that darn scale dont wanna move like you want it too....and dieting since 9...i know what thats like..i been on one since i was 7!! i felt the same way...hopefully this surgery will help me to finally beat this battle with obesity
My life is like McDonalds....I'm Lovin It
I think we all lose at a different pace.. i am almost two weeks out and on pureed foods. I really don't get hungry so i try to make myself remember to eat.
There were about two days where i felt hunger but since then nothing really except early in the morning. i am trying to get three 1 1/2 oz meals in a day, but don't always.
We have found that for me, the best three things to eat are tuna and mayo in the blender, broiled chicken and chicken broth in the blender, and baked salmon that my husband takes the skin off and does in the blender with cream cheese.
My surgeon's plan calls for mostly prootien as the diet forever, so these three really fit. My two week checkup is Wednesday so not sure if he will move me to soft foods or what. But i find i cannot eat the full ounce and a half.
it is a weird feeling to eat so little and get so full, but i love it. I try to get my liquids in, but so far my best day was 38 oz. i feel like i am drinking 24/7!
I am making sure to do at least one protien shake as well.
One thing that REALLY helps me get towards my liquid goal and tastes great are SF popsicles. i am going through about six a day and they are an ounce and a half, so they push me towards that fluid goal.
Today is my first day back at work, so i am trying to sip all day and hopefully I can get to 48 and then 64 oz a day soon.
i have also made a goal to walk 15 minutes a day and gradually work back up to my three miles three times a week. I am sure it will take a LONG time to get there though! I am pretty sore and moving slowly.
Good luck to all the January folks!

I can barely get the shakes in and when I tried some tiny shrimp from the can...... Water seems to be the only thing that doesn't bother me so I'm getting about 50-64 ozs in a day. It seems everything with flavor gives me heartburn or makes me nauseous. Wednesday is but a minute away and I'm nervous. Don't want to find myself hugging the bowl again. I see my doc tomorrow so we'll see what he says.
