Ashley

So good to hear from you and glad you're doing well.  A couple of things that are helping me is to "eat" the thicker liquids on the even hours of the day and drink my water or herbal tea on the odd hours.  I don't even really feel hungry this way. So far it fits with the plan my surgeon wants.  I have trouble getting the 60 gr of protein in but they say they don't worry about that until the 3rd month as our bodies are living off our fat stores in the first 3 months (at least that's what my surgeon told me.)

I have been trying really hard to walk daily or work out on my wii fit.  I

I have really had no pain since I left the hospital and am just doing what they tell me to do and so far so good.

Keep in touch,

Barb

Hi so nice to see you posting, I'm doing prety good and feeling great. trying to reach my proteen and water goals daily, also walking on the tread mill any ware from 30 min to an hour a day depending on how I feel.  A little scarred to introduce to many foods to quickly so mainly sticking to creem soups and cottage cheese for now.

Hello,
I am 2 weeks out and I understand the food thing! I am afraid to try everything! I also have not been keeping track of protein or anything. I am just trying to get used to eating stuff. I don't think I am eating enough either. For example: Breakfast might be an egg, lunch 2 tbsp ricotta with sauce and dinner small pototoe. My liquids are watered down juice and watered down SF koolaid, decaf coffee, tea and water. I tried Chike choc protein shake and it was thick and gross even with xtra water and ice.
As far as weight lost: According to my scales at home I have lost 22 lbs since the start of my preop diet till now. Almost 4 weeks.
I still get tired and I have had trouble with my back in the afternoon. Sometimes bad enough where I have to put heat on it and take a pain pill. Doc said I am doing too much during morning hours when I feel good. So I am taking more time off to relax some. This week I am going to try tuna, egg salad, chix salad etc. i am afraid to try stuff! The mayo scares me!
But we shall see....

Hey Ashley and everyone also!!!!  I havent posted anything in a while either, well since january 5th i have lost 32 pounds!!! Im gonna tell you all that the second week when you can eat soft foods i was doing real bad, i was in the hospital three times cuz i thought i was having a heart attack, when i finally saw my surgeon it turns out that i was totally eating the wrong foods and eating too fast so i was having dumping syndrome, that feels so bad i dont wish that upon anyone so WATCH WHAT YOU EAT EVERYONE!!!  I am feeling  better now but i still get confused if im hungry and if i should eat or not because i dont want that dumping syndrome again, it is horrible.. i try to exercise when i can but i know i aint doing enough, i see my surgeon tomorrow and from my diet i can start eating chicken and whole wheat breads, I hope all of you that have had surgery are doing well and please watch what you are eating and TAKE IT SLOW!!!

Wow, I didn't even know about this forum.  I guess I'll introduce myself... I'm Angie and I had rny on Jan 5.    I'm still on full liquids and thought I'd come out the pocket shedding the weight.  I started out strong with 12 lost one week then 4 the next and this week less than a pound.  I know everyone losing weight differently but I'm praying things pick up next week.  I've been dieting since I was 9 and the surgery was really my last resort so I can't fail this too.  I pray the scale starts moving before I add real food to my diet.
