Alison,

Best of luck on your surgery tomorrow my thoughts and prayers go with you.  We'll welcome you with a nice warm seat on the losers bench too.  Enjoy your rest tomorrow and remember to walk, walk, walk, sip, sip, sip.  Please post when you get home to let us know how you are doing.

Hugs,

Barb

Well I'm home from the hospital - sleeved and ready for my new life.  It all went very smoothly, I have to say I was surprised, surprised and delighted of course! I have only praise for Robert Fris and his team. they were thorough, caring, totally professional, and very approachable.

I'm surprised too at how little pain I am in. The pain med used is good old paracetamol and I am very grateful for that as I'm not groggy or drugged feeling.

I was also very grateful for the advice I've read here online "walk walk walk sip sip sip"  - best advice ever.
