Didn't know this forum was here! I am scheduled for LB 1-23-09.  How is everyone doing getting ready .. am I the only one emotionally all over the place right now?  I am usually very focused, collected and level headed, I am the one who helps everyone else chill ... right now I am just not in my lane to be quite honest
... kinda loopy that this is actually happening
 ... over anything
 ... easily
 ... most of the time
... low tolerance negative WLS statements
... about maybe never having corn on the cob again
... happy to see life with my healthier size
... not sure how not to shop at Lane Bryant
... will my skin flap when I lose 50 or 60 lbs?

this list could go on and on ...

thanks for reading those who did will appreciate any comments & suggestions ...

I love you list and with all the little faces!!!  I know what you’re going through, I've been there and done that!!  But, rest a sure 2/3/6 months a year you’re going to look back and laugh about it.  Just keep a positive attitude and keep focused.  OH, and keep a journal.  God will get you through this just like anything else.  One other thing....don't ever think your never going to be able to eat corn the cob again...you will, just not a lot of it.  I eat just about everything...I try to stay away from carbs as much as possible and NO SWEETES or SURGAR!!!  I bought a couple cook books for gastric bypass patient and it is amazing how easy it can be when you redirect your feelings for food to something else.

Oh, Lane Bryant....I have to say that was a sad day when I no longer could fit in anything there, but it is a great feeling to fit in a petite small.

So don't get yourself all worked up and know this is the best thing you could do for your health.

Remember PM me anytime!!!

Hugs, Michele

Hi Raquel,

Here's a small poem someone sent to me, I'm almost where you are taking deep breaths being on the other side of support hope this helpful:

What you need to know about the past is that no matter what has happened, it has all worked together to bring you to this very moment.  And this is the moment you can choose to make everything new.  Right now.
