This one's for the girls

Hey everyone... I am back home.  I had the surgery Monday and I did great.  My liver looked great and they were able to do it lapro.   The only problem was my surgeon had to spend the first half hour cutting through old scar tissue from a previous surgery.

Okay... for you girls who have your surgery coming up... this is something that i ahve seen on other boards, but not on ours, plus, it happened to me.

The anesthesia and trauma to your body can send your hormones into overdrive.  I started my period 2 weeks early... the day AFTER surgery.   Yeah, that's just whatcha need!    So, if you are still menstruating, make sure you pack a few pads with you.  It might not happen to you, but it did to me.  The only good thing was I really didn't have cramps because of the toradol!!

Welcome back!  I started my period 2 days after surgery.  Be prepared and sure sucks to deal with recovery and the monthly at the same time but it does happen.   yeah no feeling the cramps with loritab either-LOL!

Kim,
Welcome home!
Glad all went well! Since mine on Monday I am amazed at how well I feel! If I had to leave the house today I actually would feel like it. Today is the first day that I feel like eating. I am looking forward to Monday when I can move to sof/puree stage. I love eggs and I hope my new pouch does too.
I have been waiting for my period to start because it seems to be so common. Hopefully I am an acception and it will be the end of my periods forever! I could be the one who stops menstrating after WLS! Yeah!
I am finding it hard to get all the liquid in. I am not really forcing it, just constantly sipping.
Keep up the good work!
Talk to ya soon!

Funny as it sounds I'm trying to get mine back.

When I lose weight it comes back, so I'm hoping
with this will be no exception.

Like a friend who was playing hide and seek too long.
Funny to say but please come back LOL
