Haven't had one but just from what you've shared I sure understand why you will be very happy when Monday come and you get rid of it.

Then it's on to a more comfortable new life!

I am sorry you have that to deal with! Surgery on the 9th and you are home with G-tube? Where is it?
My Dr. doesn't do any drain after surgery. I even had catheter removed the morning after surgery. If you did not have the tube you would probably feel like a million bucks! I had surgery Monday, came home Wednesday and today feel that I could leave the house and be comfortable(probably not in jeans though).
Do you still drink your 4 oz every hour with G-tube? What do you have to do with it?
Can't they take it out early for you?
Keep your chin up!

I have to feed myself through the G-Tube if I can't get my Protein in otherwise. I had a drain at the hospital too which they pulled before I left. This G-Tube is always hurting and very UNCOMFORTABLE !! Starting to make me depress !!

I had an NG tube during surgery and once I passed my grape juice test that night, it came out.  I can tell you that you will feel like a new person once they remove it.  Don't let it depress you!  it is keeping you safe from infection and leaks etc.

I did however come home today with a JP drain which will come out at my post op visit Tuesday.  All of our surgeons use different safety measures and they really can be a pain, but keep us healhy!
Good luck!  I know i am counting the days til my drain comes out Tuesday!
