This message board is great !!
Hi all,
I just wanted to say how great I think this message board is. I just joined the site a few days ago and I'm so impressed with the support that everyone gives. As I read through some of the posts I can totally identify with so many of you and the emotions we are all experiencing. I'm fortunate to have a good friend that is 1 1/2 years out and he has been a wealth of information and support, although it is nice to have others to chat with and share our stories and experiences.
My surgery is 8 days away (1-23-09) and I'm so looking forward to it. One of my long time childhood friends is also going in on the same day so we have been arguing (jokingly) about who will get operated on first....lol Needless to say it will be a wild ride for the nursing staff with the two of us there at the same time.... ha ha (and one of the nurses is a good friend of ours..lol)
Anyway.... I just wanted to say how great I think you all are.

Congrats on your upcoming surgery. I found this site last August and felt exactly the same way you do. The knowledge and the caring is simply the best. While I hang out on the Cali board most of the time, I feel compelled to lend support to everyone who had or will have surgery this month as I did.
I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers next week, and you can be sure we'll welcome you with a nice warm spot on the losers bench.
