I'm new and I'm home

Hi, I'm Rachel.  I had my gastric bypass on Monday, Jan 12.  It was hell the rest of the day between the anesthestia and morphine making me so nauseous.  For those of you who haven't experienced that yet, keep in mind, that too shall pass!  The next day, after they finally let me drink water (wow that was great!), things started to get much better.  I am at my sister's house now recuperating.  After sleeping for 11 hours, I think I might be ready for my first shower since before my hospital stay.

Congrats!
I go home tomorrow!  Glad you are doing so well!  Only thing, I wish i could sleep for even three hours!  How in the heck did you do that?  I wake up like clockwork when I need pain medicine.  I'm sure that will wear off in a day or so too!
Congrats!

That you all for your thoughts and prayers.  Erin, I didn't sleep much in the hospital.  With all the poking and checking by the nurses, it's very difficult to get much sleep.  I hope you get a good night's sleep tonight when you are home.  I realize I am luckier than most people.  I have a high pain tolerance. I suggest you take your pain meds right before you go to sleep.  Good luck.
