Hello everyone!
I had my surgery on 1/12 and I got home yesterday around 12noon. Not bad at all! I don't remember anything after my first sedative in my IV pre-op. I don't remeber recovery and was pretty much in and out of it that night. Tuesday was better. More awake, walking, sipping etc. Sore a little getting in and out of bed. More like muscle soreness. Home yesterday, moving around, sipping, sleeping, passing gas. Not all that sore. Pain meds before I went to bed at 10pm. No meds this morning. Feel pretty good. Just tired and slight muscle soreness. Sometimes I feel like I have a gas bubble that moves up my chest after sipping. I agree with the posts that room temp liquids seem to be more comfortable. The thought of broth is grossing me out so I have lots of water, SF koolaid, crystal light and propel to add to my water. I also have SFjello and SF pops.
Anyone else from 1/12 home???

Thanks to everyone thinking about me on my day,

Lisa

Lisa,

Welcome home and welcome to the losers bench.  Sounds like you are doing great and everything you are experiencing sounds normal to me.

I had a couple of questions and called the surgeon's office and they reminded me that all the surgical areas are swollen so gas traps and the pouch doesn't always empty right away.  So each and every day has gotten better for me and I hope it does the same for you.

Again, welcome home.
