Just wanted you all to know that my surgery was canceled today because my iron was to low. The surgeon wants me to take new labs in a month and then schedule again. the biggest problem with that is he's already scheduling 2 months out. So I don't know where I will fall to when I will have surgery. I tried asking him to wait until Friday for new labs I took today because last week I was on my cycle but he said he could not book a person last minute in that slot if I should still have bad results.
So I wanted to wish you all the best and let you know I will still continue to follow your journies. Take care.

And if you are considering changing hospitals.  I will be happy to speak with you about Sinai.

Thanks Iman. I know he's only doing what's best, but I was so close and he books so far out, and the waiting kills me. I don't think I want to change docs I just wish their was a closer date.

I just want to say how sorry I am to hear your bad news. If you don't mind me asking, how low was your iron?  I am anemic and my doc still did my surgery.  Maybe it varies from doc t doc. Have you considered getting a second opinion from another bariactric surgeon? It's worth a shot because if you wait the 2 months, won't you have to repeat the testing all over again? And what happens if your iron is still low? Just something to consider. Good luck!
