Let me introduce myself

My name is Deborah and my surgery is January 28.  Very scared and excited all at the same time.  I've researched so much over the last few months and right now it's all I think about.  It's good to know that I'm not the only one thinking this way . I look forward to a slimer year. 

Anyone else scheduled for Jan. 28?

good luck to you!  My surgery date is 1/20 and I, too, am scared, excited and looking forward to a slimmer year.  It is all I think about too.  Have faith! and keep us posted.

You all are making me feel so excited!  I am just waiting to hear the date!  I feel like time is moving in slow motion.  Also, I've been cleaning, deep cleaning, like I'm trying to let go and say good bye to everything about the old me.  I am ready, I am so ready.  My office looks like I moved out.  I just want a fresh clean start.  No reminders of the pain and unhappiness that I have lived with this past 6 years at 300 pounds!!  I can't wait to follow your stories, I wish you the best!

You are funny!  The Sunday before my surgery (last Tuesday) I was a cleaning whirlwind at home.  I literally was cleaning and organizing all day long and I had such energy to do it because my surgery was right around the corner.  It was a great motivator!  You will do great!  Hang in there.  I waited since last May and finally decided to self-pay as this was important to my health.

I am Denise from Indianapolis, IN.  My surgery date is Jan 28th also.  Just this past week I went to my pre-op nutrition class and to 2 support group meetings.  They were wonderful!  Read this board and you will See so many posts of people coming back from surgery with great outcomes.  It is nice to meet you.

Hello Deborah.  I am having my gastric bypass tomorrow.  It's all I've been thinking about since I got my surgery date.  I didn't care about Christmas or my birthday.  I haven't gotten scared yet, just so excited!  Good luck.

Welcome Beborah.  My suregery is on the 20th but I too think about this surgery all the time. I can't wait for this journey to begin. Best wishes to you.

Wow.  Just hearing from everyone is so encouraging.  I am more excited than scared.  And I have been a "white tornado" in my house too.  I've cleaned closets, behind dressers, etc.  My DH asked me if I was nesting.  LOL  Thanks for all of the support and yes I will keep you posted.
