Hi there Ashley Nicole: Hope you are doing great! At Day 6 I am feeling pretty good, but still very bloated from the gas they put in my abdomen. As soon as that is gone I'll be REALLY good. I think my stoma is swollen, because I feel my pills going down.
My surgeon has me on thin liquids for 3 weeks after surgery, which is longer than some Drs.
Vitamin and 2 meds
Decaf coffee with a splash of milk, and Benefiber
Chocolate protein shake with Benefiber
Homemade soup: chicken broth seasoned with fresh ginger and carmelized onion (which I won't try to eat)
Chocolate protein shake with Benefiber
Decaf tea
Chocolate protein shake with Benefiber
Vitamin
SF Jello
SF popsicle
Yesterday I made a packet of egg drop soup and was able to eat all of it since it was mostly broth, tiny herbs, and the egg was able to go down very easily as it was in tiny shreds.
Candie
breakfast: scrambled egg then some puree strawberry or applesauce
lunch: 2 oz puree tuna (nasty!!) and 1 oz puree carrots
snack: peach yogurt (Dannon light and fit)
Dinner: 2 oz cut up cheese and some other puree veggie or fruits

throughout the day have Popsicles and lots of water, sf tang or propel
I've seen that several others on here are on a clear liquid diet AFTER the surgery? My liquid diet was for 2 weeks Prior to surgery. That my friends was torture, as it included Christmas, my birthday and new years. oh well.
I actually feel hungry now, so trying not to eat more than what is prescribed above. The nutritionist was adamant about getting 80oz of liquid and 80oz of protein per day with the food.
Anyone find a puree protein food they actually like?
