Amanda, you are doing great on your weight loss. That is amazing. I am on my 1200 calorie 30 day pre op diet. I have been on it for 12 days now. After that  I have to be on full liquids for 5 days then clear liquids for 1 day and then surgery. I still don't have my date yet. I know it will be in Feb. Thanks for all the encouragement about not cheating. You did everyone a big favor. You rock!!

Hey Buddy...
1200 calorie for 30 days...wow. That might even be harder to stick to then all liquids. At least with the liquid diet you know exactly what to eat..LOL
Day 12...how are you doing? Do you have to keep a food dairy. When I was keeping a food diary it helped me soooo much!! Counting calories was not so bad but i don't want to do it for a life time..LOL

February will be here before you know it. I am SO excited for you.
Glad I didn't offended you or Deb. You are both very important to me!!

Keep in touch

Yep, I have to keep a food diary. They gave me special forms I have to fill out and turn in. so far I have lost 12 pounds as of this morning. Pretty excited to see the scales going down.

I am with you there!! It's been really hard not to cheat. I have about 57 pounds so far and have been on a 1200 calorie partial liquid diet since April. I'm on day 7 of my liquid diet and I haven't cheated and I won't. My "treat" for sticking with this is going to be after my surgery when I'm able to, I'm joining a martial arts class of some kind. It's something I've always wanted to do, but never though I could because of my weight.  So my rewards are changing from food to something else, something nice for me and good for me at the same time.

Food has always been my reward for anything well done, or to get through a hard time or whatever. It's a real mindset change!  Good luck to you on your changes too!! :)

*hugs*

Hey Miss Melissa!!!

Good God woman...57 pounds...that's just amazing!! Don't you feel on top of the world?!?!
Seeing the numbers on the scale going down and knowing you did what you were suppose to do to get there is the best feeling ever!! I have wanted to cheat sooooo many times it is not even funny!!

The liquid diet is really hard. Day one is the worst. Day two i was on some sort of high..not sure what that was about...LOL then i think it was Day four that i came home from work and cried for no reason..LOL and then about day 6 it was all about head hunger..not tummy hunger.

I KNOW YOU ARE GOING TO DO FABULOUS!!!

Martial Arts is a really good exercise. Lots of bruises but really good all over work out. You are have the discipline part down so now all you gotta do is get the moves down.. LOL
(SCARED OF YOU!!!)   There are so many things i can see myself doing now that I am losing weight. I can really start to see a tiny little light at the end of the long long tunnel that lays ahead of me. Its tiny but its there for the first time in a very long time!!

(((HUGS))

P.S.
I'm glad i didn't offend you and you too are very important to me!!

It was very nice of you to apologize because im sure a lot of people found offense to the post...im sure it wasnt your intention to be offensive and i know what you were trying to get at... sometimes we really have to choose our words carefully though because im sure most of us here have a person in our life who discourages us enough... this is a place we come to for comfort and support....

kiberwig is a wonderful person and she cheated and so has probably 80% of others on that liquid diet....once you cheat you cant take it back all you can do is admit too it  and i think that was a great step admitting to it... heck when i cheated on the diet i did it secretly so no one would know. she was very bold to come out to the forum and let them know what was going on and ask for help...i wish i would have done that....

did i feel i wasnt ready for the surgery??yes i did...did i talk to the nurse of my suregeon and express that???yes i did and she had very kind words and it helped me to get my act together and do what i needed to do in order to get my surgery...and i got it and i have been doing well....

if you asked me again today was i ready for it...i will tell you no but i have it and i have to do what i need to do to make it work and im doing that.....

My life is like McDonalds....I'm Lovin It
