Jan 13th!

My surgery is Tuesday! Yay!

I've been on the liquids since Dec. 30th, and the first few days were the roughest, but then I got used to it. I had no energy at first, but it came back, too. It's still no fun, but I'm so close now!  I can't believe it.

One reason is because the nurse called my insurance company yesterday(BCBSGA) to confirm that we were good to go, and they told her that my window for the surgery had ended on Dec. 29th, and we'd have to resubmit for preapproval.  (My case was opened on Sept. 30th, then I was denied. The denial is supposed to move my window opening date to the denial date because you have 90 days to appeal.) So I called them with my appeal and tried to explain this, but they wouldn't budge.

The nurse called them back today, and she convinced them that we were right. I was so excited when she called me!! It was almost the end of the day, and I'd given up already. I was planning my great dinner in my head. But that phone call gave me the inspiration I needed to keep going!

My surgery is on Tuesday too. I can imagine how excited you are getting. My original surgery date was October 7, 2008 so this feels like a longtime coming. I am spending the weekend cleaning, shopping (water) and finishing up homework. Good luck and best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Yeah for you!!!  My surgery date is the 14th! Very excited! Only down side is the pile of work on my desk when I go back to work!

I'm with you on tuesday and can totally relate to the liquids.. I can't wait to get this over with.  So glad you are able to have surgery tomorrow!! good luck and see you on the losers side

Mine is tomorrow too! YAY!

Luckily I only had to do 2 days of clear liquids cause that stuff sucks, I don't even think I'm going to try to eat today, I just can't do that chicken broth anymore!
