These are our OH family members that will have surgery Tues 1/6/09
We are covering them with prayer
and good will wishes. WE all agree that they will all have uneventful surgeries and their surgeons will be at the top of their skill level. They will recover quickly and there will be no issues with the anesthesia. For those that have a hospital stay, that the staff from the nurses to the person that empties the garbage will be kind and compassionate. 
They will be kept comfortable and as pain free as possible. Then they will allow us to rejoice with them as we all journey to a healthier and happier life. Those that have companions and families will feel their love and 100% support.
Please check in with us when you feel up to it and let us know how you are doing. Be kind to yourself and allow your bodies to rest and heal.

Hi Barb...... I am very serious about the concept of a community 
even if it is in cyberspace. We are all real people 
behind these nics and we are all facing having our bodies surgically altered. I am having this done for the 2nd time. I had complications
the first time and I don't know if anyone was praying for me. 
Now that I believe in the power of prayer and the LORD that hears those prayers I am kinda paying it forward in reverse. My day is 1/29. You will all be recovering and meeting the challenges 
of living with your surgeries. We all expect a great outcome and rightly so.
But I also know there are those bumps in life that catch us when we least expect them.
I really want every name named to be blessed and have as few bumps as possible. I think we have all gone through enough living in a society that is so negative toward obese people. 
We also share many health problems caused by our obesity. Finally, we have to learn life anew. 
This includes following the rules 
for our best health and sucessful weight loss, to dealing with people
we may have in our life that might not be there if it wasn't for our self esteem issues. 
We will change from this surgery and so will the people around us. That can be a bittersweet experience. 
That is the paradox of life guess. Having said that I am so grateful for a second chance.
