Day 1.... Down...13 More to GOOO
Day 1 is DOWN!
I survived, it wasn't sooo bad. Although, I did almost have a meltdown at dinner! For whatever reason it really affected me that my husband and son were eating and I was drinking, broth and a shake. I mean they were eatiing chicken, carrots and salad... But for me, it was because I could not have it that I wanted it. I didn't even need it.... I was content with my shake and my broth.
I just can not get over... how mental this whole proccess is! I am thankful on how much I am learning about myself!! ITS AMAZING!
Hopefully with time... Things will get easier.

One Day at a Time
Hey January Surgi Sisters you can do it! Keep your eye on the prize. I am on day 4 with surgery on Thurs. At work they had the gall to offer me one of those giant fuju apples coated with carmel, chocolate and almonds. I smiled and said, no thanks! I was really proud of myself.
I know what you mean about wanting it when you can't have it. I have been feeding my hubby leftovers this week to clean out the fridge. Man, I miss my cooking! LOL
You're absolutely right, one day at a time.
We're almost there.

My first day was the worst day of my life.
I would not have wished that on my worst enemy.
I seriously had doubts about the whole surgery.
I almost cracked at work...i work at a convenience/gas station on 3rd shift.
Its not busy at night and i work alone. I could have eaten any of 100 things and no one would have ever been the wiser. Except me...id know. So i didn't.
I ate a hot taco sauce packet instead.
grrrrrrrrrrr
Can i just sleep through the next 13 days??

Day one is always the hardest. I am married with five kids and cook two meals for them a day. I so felt like giving in on several occasions. I was jealous and almost bitter, but it is al worth it. I would not take it back for anything. Good luck to all of you who have your big day coming up. I know you will do well. I had surgery just 4 1/2 months ago, and am down almost 90 pounds. Yes, some of it has been hard to adjust to, but being healthy is awesome, and not having to look in the plus size clothes.... even better!!!!! Good luck!!!!
It gets easier trust me.. the worst part for me is cooking meals for my husband.. and then he constantly snacks in front of me!! GOD thank you for willpower.. the poor guy trys to hide to eat, but I said its ok honey but deep down I want to yank the plate away and throw it in his face!! HEHEHEH.. ok.. we all will deal with this and make it thru and WE will be the last ones laughing!!!
All is good we are on our way to a new, healthy and happy 2009!!
good luck
