Hi, I'm new to this board

I just recently found this board and wanted to introduce myself.  My name is Jeanetta, I live in Ontario, Canada and my surgery date is January 6th.  I start my liquid diet tomorrow and I'm dreading it.  Not looking forward to it at all.  I just started getting nervous about the surgery and anxious for it to be done. 

I look forward to getting to know everyone on here.

welcome!!!!!!!!!  mine is on the 7th.  im sooooo ready.  just wi**** would hurry up and get here.  hope you enjoy being on here as much as we do.  it really is nice to be able to confide in everyone!!!

We have the same surgery date! How long do you expect to be in the hospital? My surgeon said 2 or 3 days, but it seems that he keeps most people for 3 days, so I'll prepare for that. I'm getting nervous, too- I just want Tuesday to be here!

I've been told that I will be in the hospital until thursday and then I have to overnight in a hospital.  First thing friday morning, I go to the surgeon's office, get a check-up and then head home. 

I feel very anxious for tuesday to get here.  Surprisingly I haven't been nervous at all until last night and then it hit me.  I would recommend to anyone to have a surgery after Christmas.  There was so much going on that I didn't really focus on it until last night.  I definately thought about it, but with all of the festivities going on, there was no time to get nervous.

Welcome Jeanetta. You have alot of support here, especially your date being Jan 6th. you have alot of surgery buddies. Best wishes. Kepp us posted.

Hi Jeanetta. It's nice to meet you. Congrats on your decision and getting a date. That is just a few days away. I have my  pre op visit with the surgeon the same day you have surgery. Keep us updated on your progress.
