"The One Ring" Jan 6 - 8 more days!

Surgery Jan 6 - My band is already nicknamed "The One Ring"... aka "Precious".

Preop diet starts tomorrow - protein shakes and water and vitamins only.  My doctor also requires liquids for 3 weeks.  I'm sure that will force me to make a mental break from my food addiction...

I just realized that I should take my measurements for "before" - I've been avoiding this for years!!!

Love the name, you will do great with the liquid diet and surgery. I will be praying for you.  I agree about the measurements, my doctor suggested taking your picture in a door way from front , back and side ways.  he said then you can see the actual changes as they occur.  My surgery is the day after yours...

I am surely nervous...

I knew I forgot to do something today!  I needed to get a measuring tape.  My daughter took all my sewing stuff when she went to college:

Considering that I did a lot of prep shopping today (gas-x strips, etc) it's not so bad that I forgot one thing.

I'm not nervous about the surgery, but I haven't made a will in all these years (which is stupid) although I have no reason to be concerned - and I really don't feel like this is a terrible risk even though I signed my initials acknowledging all the possible complications.  I guess that my health is ok so I don't worry about it.

I worry more about the recovery period - how slow/quick, since I need to get back to work.
