Jan. 5th is my big day!

Hi all! Congrats on everyones up coming surgery! I dont know but all of you... but i am VERY nervous!!! I have never had any kind of surgery before so i dont know what to expect. I also have to get an IVC filter placed on friday before my RNY on monday..  Any kind words would be helpful lol..

Welcome and congrats on getting your date. I know how you are feeling. I think we are all nervous but excited at the same time. I will pray for you that everything goes well and you have a speedy recovery. You might want to go on the RNY board and ask them what to expect and how they got through everything since most of them have already been through this whole thing.

I am having surgery at Ellis Hospital on Jan. 12th. Dr. Panemenglore is my surgeon. I think they have been great so far! So organized! I had a bunch of test Tuesday and will start my Medifast on Monday. Have you had to do Medifast?? Is it shakes??
Don't be nervous about your upcoming day. Why do you need the filter before surgery??
I am more excited then nervous. I am sure everything will be fine and it will be over before you know it!  Are you all stocked up on the liquids for the first week or so?? I have to start stocking up this week and get organized.
Don't worry, get some good sleep these few days before hand,

i can relate because i never had surgery either...its normal to be nervous and excited and such...you will be fine...just thinking of the great gift you are gonna give your body....health!! hope you have much sucess on your journey
