THANKS. GOOD LUCK  YOURSELF.  PLEASE KEEP ME INFORMED OF  HOW YOUR SURGERY GOES. I AM ON HERE JUST ABOUT EVERY NIGHT AND ALOT DURING THE DAY. IT IS SO NICE TO HEAR FROM SOMEONE . NOT SURE WHAT KIND OF SURGERY U ARE HAVING . BUT I AM HAVING A LAPBAND . IT IS A REVISION FROM A VGB I HAD DONE 9 YRS AGO..... LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU.

Hi Sheila:
I am on the mode still of thinking every other hour about Lap Band surgery coming....
"will I have the normal experience", "will I be able to go back to work (or at least work from home quickly)..."  "can I follow the instructions..." ...
Meanwhile I am thinking - pretty soon no more Diet Coke.  Pretty soon I'll have only a meatball or two, not a plate of meatballs.  etc...etc...

Congrats on your date Sheila. I am still waiting on a date. Have my pre op with the surgeon on Jan 6th. i am so excited. Your day will be here before you know it. Keep us updated on your progress.

THNAKS EMILY. I AM REALY NERVOUS ABOUT HAVING THIS REVISION AND I AM NERVOUS ALSO ABOUT  HAVEING MY SURGERY IN MEXICO. I HAVE SPOKEN TO MY SURGEON SEVERAL TIMES . HE HAS ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS . JUST STILL A LITTLE SCARED.

I think I would be afraid too. What kind of revision are you having? Did you have the lapband ? Wow, you are going to Mexico??? What made you deicde that? I haven't met anyone that has gone out of the country for surgery. I would be nervous about that I think. That is great that the surgeon has answered all your questions. Did you buy one of those packages that are advertised? Just curious about your decision to go to mexico.

I AM HAVING MY SURGERY IN MEXICO BECAUSE I HAVE NO INSURANCE.  I HAVE A REALY GOOD FRIEND AND SHE HAS SEVERAL OF HER FRIENDS THAT HAVE  HAD WLS IN MEXICO.  I HAVE BEEN DOIN ALOT OF RESEARCH.  THE SURGEONS IN MEXICO HAVE BEEN DOIN THE LAPBAND LONGER AND THE REVISIONS LONGER ... CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG.... I AM HERE SO GET SUPPORT FROM FELLOW BANDERS AND TO TAKE THE WALK WITH NEWBIES LIKE MYSELF....

I DO NOT HAVE  INSURANCE SO I STARTED TALKING TO SOME OF MY FRIENDS.  ONE OF THEM  I WOULDN'T SAY A BEST FRIEND , BUT A FRIEND TOLD ME THAT SHE WENT TO MEXICO FOR HER SURGERY.  SO I STARED RESEARCHING AND I  MEET A FEW FRIENDS ON THIS WEBSITE AND I RESEARCHED MY DR. HE DOES NOT ADVERTICE   MUCH ON THE WEB... HE IS A SURGEON LISTED ON THIS OH SERGEONS LIST. I HAVE TALKED TO HIM ON THE PHONE AND HE REALY ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS... PLEASE STAY IN TOUCH................SHEILA
