Ima Newbie... Date Jan 12th

HI!!  I am a Southern girl living in northwest indiana!!!  My surgery date is January 12th.  Don't know many folks up here, so I'm nervous. Would love to make new friends who can tell me what to expect.  My surgeon is Dr. Stanish.

Hi Kimberly, Welcome! I am new myself I can honestly tell you this is a great place to be. I am also scheduled for Jan. 12Th and I cant wait! I am also from the south. There is a group of us all having surgery on the 12Th & 13Th- you can find us just a few topics below. Please feel free to join us anytime. We are going to be just fine and have alot of motivational support to give each other, so you have already made a bunch of new friends. HI!!  I went down and found the thread for the 13th and 14th.  I start my liquids on the 29th... you know, if I had to start before Christmas, I think I would still be okay... I am SOOOOO ready for this!!

I'm a CA girl living in KS of all places!! LOL
I am JAN 19Th.  I too do not have any family here and little to no friends around. (I mean i know a lot of people..but none that i would call in the middle of the night if i were sick or something...know what i mean?)

I love this group! everyone is very supportive and caring and kind and loving. I feel like i have a ton of people behind me and who are really the only ones right now who get what i am going through. I check the message board daily but can only really sit down and respond to everyone on Sundays. You can post just about anything on here..(even OT off topic) and someone will be going through the same thing or at least have some encouraging words to give you!

I am so excited to take a picture standing by the Christmas tree next year and actually have some of it show behind me...LOL  This is our last Christmas being fat...and i cant be more excited about that.  I'M ready for the person who is stuck inside of me to come busting out and really shine!!

THANK you for your wonderful wonderful words of encouragement!!!  It is so hard to live so far away from family.  Luckily, I have a great husband and my mom will be here for my surgery... and my sister in law will fly in the week after to help me with my daughter and other stuff. 

I am also a full time student... my classes start January 12 too!!!  I've already told my professors that I won't be at class the first week, but my sil will take me for the second. 

I don't care though... I've given my whole life to food and I am READY to take it back!!
