Jan 20th in Utica, anyone else that day?
Hi and thank you for welcoming me to the forum....Congrats on your date also...are you very excited? I can barely wait....Wonderful way to bring in the New YEar...I haven't told many people, but when they ask what my New Years resolution will be, I will say it is to lose weight...all the while knowing I am going for the surgery so the next time they see me, they will be shocked and ask what kind of diet I have been doing....I LOVE the shock factor...Of course I will tell the truth eventually....LOL have an awesome Christmas

Hi Denise...
I'm on the 19Th!
I'm not excited yet...but that's just because i have been keeping myself busy!!
I know once everything is done and over with...the decorations are all put away...i get through my daughters 13Th birthday/party (Jan 5Th...which is also the day i start my liquid diet) it will all hit me.
To be honest....i have had a couple of days where i have had "cold feet". There has been a few days where i have REALLY thought about if I was doing the right thing by getting the surgery. As if God himself was sending me an answer...something always comes up where my weight is an issue and i think..." oh yeah...that's why I am having this done" Great example...i took my pre-teen daughter to the mall on Fri. They had received Christmas $$ in a card from a relative. The girls wanted to hit some good sales and so we set out for a 4 hr afternoon at the mall. After the 3rd store....i actually had to ask the sales lady if she could bring me a chair to sit on while my daughter were in the dressing room trying on what seemed like 100 outfits! How embarrassing. I have never felt like that b4. And of course...sitting outside of a dressing room...your surrounded by nothing but...whateles....FLOOR TO CELLING MIRRORS!! The 3-way mirrors are the best at telling the WHOLE TRUTH!! As I sat there...tired, out of breath and feeling like a lousy mom...i caught a glimpse of myself. My profile...I had no idea....really...i had no idea i looked the way i do. No wonder i felt the way i did. That was just the gentle little reminder of WHY I AM GOING THROUGH WITH THE SURGERY!
Yep...next year...ill be the one in the dressing room and dragging the kids from store to store!!
Good luck with everything!
Im so glad your here!!
