Can't Wait to feel well!

I hope I can change my eating habits to where I don't turn to food when I need a quick fix.  I tend to turn to food when I am lonely, bored, depressed, bad hair day, you name it.

I am also afraid of my hair falling out post op.  I have long hair and it grows slow.  So I am dedicated to getting enough protein right from the start.  I'm planning on taking protein with me to the hospital even.

Have you tried out any protein mixes yet?  I was reading on another board where Wal-mart's protein mix made a lot of people stall in their weight loss.  I've tried Isopure chocolate and like it now, but they say your tastes change post-op so I didn't buy much.

Catch ya later

Hugs,

Deb

Hey Snowflake....

Your so lucky to have a gym at your work and that you have someone who you can work out with at lunch!!

We are going to get a membership to the YMCA in Jan. My whole family is excited about it!!

13 more days will be my one month count down. Absolutely no more soda and i will really have to watch what i eat.

30 more days and i go to all liquids!!   Hey...quick question about liquid only diet.
If the only thing you put "IN" is liquids....then wont only liquids come "OUT"??
I'm not looking forward to a sore bum if that's the case!! LOL
Ill have to get some diaper cream..LOL  Maybe that's a good question for the main board?? (not sure how much of an honest answer i want...LOL  they do tend to not hold back over there...lol)

Laugh now, but go ahead  and buy some diaper cream.  I've already got soe A&D ointment bought  based on the stories of sore butts I read on other sites.

Amanda,
What kind of liquids will you be on? They usually have some form of fiber in addition to protein, so you may have loose BM's and not diarrhea. The fiber should keep you from being too miserable. Luckily, my doc doesn't require any special diet before surgery. I'm having it open, though- that may make the difference. Are you having Lap RNY?

I was up early, unfortunately! I'm having a lot of trouble sleeping for some reason. I paid for it today- it was a LONG day!! I'll be going to bed early tonight, and hopefully I'll sleep well.
Glad to hear that you and hubby made up!  You don't need that aggravation on top of the stress of this surgery coming up!
