Hello January peeps!
I just got home from my sleep study! I don't know the results yet but I didn't sleep as well as I think I do at home. Unfamiliar territory I guess. Room was nice. Bed was comfy. Pillows sucked and the heating system was loud with a rattle to it. LOTS of wires! The staff was very pleasent though.
That was one more test done closer to my surgery date (1/12). My next batch aren't until the 23rd.
I see we have some new members to the January board?? HELLO!

Talk to ya later,
Lisa

I almost had to do a sleep study...they decided that it was not necessary for me.

I hope you get a better nights sleep tonight. Maybe you can get a cat nap in today!!!

I have sleep apnea, did the study at home so it was easy.  I love my CPAP.  I stop breathing 39x an hour ... and I can't sleep without my cpap!

246 in Dec 2008 before banded 1/28/09 at 215 lbs, band crapped 9/09 at 170 lbs and struggled with it and regained to 203 revised to bypass on 8/1/11 and am very happy.

When I had my sleep study done the staff woke me up half way through it. They put me on a cpap because my sleep apnea was so bad. I had stopped breathing 121 times an hour. Very scarey. I sleep so well now that I have my cpap.

OMG you guys.....that's super scary!!!
When we lose weight...will it "cure" sleep apnea???
What causes it??
Do you have a hard time sleeping with a cpap machine on??

I only knew one person that had to wear one...it was a friends dad. It was sooo loud that his wife slept in the other room. He would always be soo tired before they found out he had sleep apnea. After the cpap...he was much more well rested!!

My cpap is very quiet. I don't have a hard time with it.

Hey Ms. Carlababy....

I bet you feel better now that you have your c-pap machine. You probably sleep much better and wake up feeling well rested. Just think...in a few months...you will feel just as good..if not better and you wont even need your machine!!!

Congrats!!!
