JANUARY 7TH!!!!!!!!!!!!! YIPPIE
I think your goal weight is set by your surgeon.
I think they use the "height/weight" chart that is always above the scales...LOL
I am 300..I am 5'8 with a large build and i need to be 153/160.
(Seems to me that they measured my wrist or something)
Good luck, welcome to the JAN board, post often and make sure you take lots of "before" pictures!!!
(((HUGS)))
Do you have any idea how long we will be in the hospital? I'm hoping its just for 1 night.
Well good luck with everything! It sounds like we have the best Dr in FL! Keep me posted too!
I was told it would be just one night in the hospital. As far as I know the only reason I have to stay over night is because of my insurance. Avmed requires it to be in patient otherwise I believe Dr Jawad does it as out patient. ????? But, I was kinda thinkin it was for the best since I live in Fleming Island which is right next to Orange Park and is about an hour or so away from his office in case anything goes wrong. And since you live in Ga its probably good for you to. NOT that we plan for anything to go wrong but it sure would be a pain to get home and have to turn around and drive all the way back!!!! They actually tried talking me into the RNY also. I'm 5'2 at around 217 (probably more after the last few days) So, I think the band is best for me also. I'm kinda scared about the RNY. I mean I would LOVE to drop the weight faster......My family is already freaking out that I'm doing this, I think if I was having the RNY they would be nervous wrecks!!!! Me included!!!!
Please keep in touch and I will do the same, The holidays should be fun, its strange I am not really trying to lose anymore weight right now, I have lost my 10% already, but I seem to be losing it little by little, must be my nerves. Good luck and keep in touch
take lots of before pictures!! I have always joked that all my pictures were my "before" pictures. You will differently regret not taking them before surgery. You have to have something to compare your new self to. Its going to be great to see where you once were to where you are now.
( i mean after surgery...you know what i mean...LOL)
That's GREAT that you have already meet your weight loss goal pre-op. Hang in there over the holidays!!! I hope my "nerves" kick in and help me to lose some weight too!!! LOL
I'm so glad your here!!!! Keep us posted!
