Just want to pop in and say "HI"  to all January's surgery peeps!
I am getting very excited! With these holidays the time will fly by! I posted earlier about doing some things in preparation and appreciate all your replies. I have tried just sipping my water. Sometimes I do forget and gulp. Should I drink from water bottle or cup/glass? I think I end up sucking the hell out of a water bottle till it caves in sometimes! That may be painful post op?
I am going to purchase myself a nice journal while out Black Friday shopping. Need to also get online to order some samples. I would like to get everything I will need for at least my first 2 weeks or so liquid wise.
I am going to be starting 2 week Medifast diet on 12/29. Is it usually just shakes? I meet with nutritionist on 12/23.
Well, on my way to grocery store. UGHHH! Can I pick a busier time??? I want to make a traditional dish for tomorrow so....I am going to try Indian Pudding.
I am sure I will be on boards later!
Who is getting up for those earlier Black Friday Specials????

Happy Thanksgiving!
I have never made Indian Pudding but I wanted to make a Thanksgiving dish from long ago. I found a reciped from Sturbridge Mass from a cookbook that is no longer in print that they serve in a MA. restaurant. It looks yummy! It is made with milk, corn meal, mollasses, eggs, sugar, butter spices.I have it in the oven now and it smells delicious! Not an easy recipe but I will let you know how it tastes. Here is site: www.elise.com/recipes/archives or www.simplyrecipes.com.
Well have a lovely day!

Lisa, your Indian pudding sounds delicious. I have never heard of it before. I am in the process of making our dinner. We are having a traditional thanksgiving dinner. YOu are right about the time flying by now that the holiday season is here. I am excited for you. I am excited for me as well. I see the nut on Dec 31 and the surgeon of Jan 6 can't wait. Hope you have an awesome Turkey Day.

Wow you are right before me. I'm 1/15. Good luck with everything!!!! I am not sure what kind of diet they are going to put me on. I have my next appointment 12/23 so I'm sure I'll be going on something being that it's only 3 weeks away at that point!

Hello,
Good luck on your next appt.! I will start a Medifast diet on 12/29 for the 2 weeks leading up to surgery. This week I give up all carbonated beverages. I usually like a diet pepsi(caffiene free) once a day at least so we will see how the cold turkey method works.
It won't be long before hefore the "Big Day"!
