Hi everybody -

I'm Carrie from Arizona, scheduled for VSG on January 7. I just realized that our January dates really empasize the NEW YEAR (New You!) aspect of the metamorphosis we're about to engage in. Cool.

I've been reading several of your posts and I am so excited to have found such a warm and close group of new friends and fellow travelers. Yay! I'm looking forward to the journey.

Hi everyone  I am Jo from Missouri. I am having a revision done on 1/29/2009. I had a VBG 20 years ago and I weigh 358 lbs today. I am going to the "dark side" and get the DS. My surgeon is Dr. Stewart from Tallgrass in Topeka Kansas. I am scared excitedand very impatient. I just want it done and on with the rest of my life 223 lbs lighter. I am glad to find this forum. I hope we can support and encourage each other.

Hi Jo. I am Emily. I live in OK. I am having the RNY, but don't have a surgery date. I had to move my nut appointment back which moved my surgeon's appointment back, so, I am still hopeful to get a January date, but it may end up being Feb because of all the moves. Anyway, I am glad you have joined us. I am excited for you. I don't know much about the DS as I have not researched it. My insurance only covers the lapband and the RNY. Keep us updated.

Hi Kim... I am Jo from Kansas City. I am having a revision done on 1/29/09. i am getting kinda nervous but I am determined to get this done. I had a VBG done 20 years ago. I am being revised to a DS.I have to have an open surgery because I have a huge abdominal hernia.  I believe in the power of prayer. Please remember me. Thanks Mz Jojo

Hi January surgi sisters!  Welcome Carrie!  We're in for a great ride together.  Like you I am getting excited.  I am trying to work on increasing my exercise and loose a little more prior to surgery.
