Okay, so I went online today and I ordered bariatric chewable Calcium, chewable Iron, and sublingual b-12. I also ordered Nectar unflavored protein powder and Nectar Fuzzy Navel protein powder. Hopefully I like what I got. So All I need is a chewable multivitamin and I am going to use Centrum. Am I missing anything or do you think I have it covered?

Did the doctor give you any info yet....you will probably get a ton of info when you go see him!!

Sounds like your just about ready!!
This is sooo exciting...how fun to get the cupboards filled up with stuff JUST FOR US!!

What site did you order everything from?? Did you go on-line because it was cheaper??
I didn't know that there was special "bariatric" chewable stuff??
I would love to hear what you think of the Nectar stuff.....i have seen other people write about it on the MAIN BOARD. Why did you get the unflavored kind? Are you going to use it to mix with other stuff??

Make sure you have some broth and sugar free stuff to drink too.!
( you can look at the stuff i got ....in my  I WENT SHOPPING post....maybe that will help some??)

hugs hugs hugs

( how is hubby doing with all of this? you were kind of at a stand still and now all of a sudden your going full force!! )

Yes, there are vitamins especially for bariatric patients. I ordered them from www.celebratevitamins.com . I ordered unflavored protein powder so I could mix it in broths, soups and crystal light. I got it from www.bestpricenutrition.com The reason I ordered the Syntrax Nectar brand is because it isn't gritty and mixes up the best. I got really good prices. Shipping cost was a little high, but overall I think I got the best prices available. As for the zinc, zinc is for growth and I don't think I need to grow anymore. I will get the recommended daily allowance in my multi vitamin. I am going to use centrum chewables for that. That is what the surgeon reccomends.
Hubby is okay with all of it. He is being pretty supportive about all of it. He went with me for the psych eval results. We had a nice talk on the way over there. I am happy that he is okay with it now.

What a nut huh!  What is it going to help grow??

I will differently go to that site and look up the nectar stuff. Have you already tried it?? I cant stand grit..or anything with a lot of texture.

Let me know when you get it...I'm just so freaking excited for us!!

that is awesome......54 days. I am so excited for you!!!

Yes, I have tried the Nectar that is why I bought it. The Psych doctor gave me samples of it.  Not a lot of texture to it. It mixed up pretty well. It was like a fine powder.

Zinc is given to kids who have growth deficiencies.  It helps them to get taller. It may be used for something else to , but if it is I haven't heard what for. Ask your nut. I will ask mine when I go on the 3rd.

Member's Mark (Sam's Club) B12--1000 mcg (I take half of one and my B12 is still off the charts on the high side)

Nature's Made Iron Tablets 65 mg (1/2 daily)

Nature's Made Odorless Fish Oil 1200 mg

Nature's Made Vitamin A (for my eyes per doctor's recommendation) and I need to let you know how many mg [I threw away the bottle after I filled my pill box]

Biotin (I'll have to get back with you on the brand); but I don't plan on taking it much longer

I think that's all.
