no date yet but hoping for Jan

I am going with the laproscopic Roux En Y!  I am a little nervous with the psychological aspect of it.  ( It almost feels like I am divorcing a part of myself!)  Has anyone else felt like that?

Wow. I never thought of it that way, but I guess that is a good analogy. It does kind of gross me out thinking about that unused portion of my stomach and intestine just sitting there floating around and such. YUCK and Double Yuck on that.  I really have had second thoughts lately about going with the VSG, but then I found out Medicare only pays for the RNY or the Lap band and I don't want the lap band. There is something not right with putting a foreign object in my body. HA. Anyway, I will stick with my plan to have the RNY. I am looking forward to being a loser. Never in my life have I wanted to be a loser so badly.

Wow,  I just got back from the hospital and just completed:

1.  Chest X-Ray
2. Abdominal ultrasound
3.  Upper GI
4.  Pelvic Ultrasound

Does this sound normal?  Or is my surgeon extra cautious........

ps.  had my pulmonary tests done last week.

Nope...sounds about right....

I had.......
X-ray
labs
cardiopulmonary

and will have my EGD in Jan.

Not sure why you had a pelvic ultrasound?
Hope it all came back good. They didn't say anything to me about my results...so i guess no news is good news!!

 Will do, I have to have a stress test on December 2nd. And my 2nd nutritional consult on the 9th ( with my personal trainer, who is my "support" person!)  Then all  that is left is my last surgery consult as well as Insurance approval!  As I said I am aiming for the week before MLK weekend.

I cant stand it...were all so close to getting it done!! I feel like a little kid waiting for Santa to get here. It feels like it will never happen...hope i don't have that same let down feeling when it is all over like you do the day after Christmas??? 

got room for one more over here? im having my sugery jan 19,2009! and the anticipation is driving me nutz,lol
