I started back in Jan of this year...would of had surgery a few days ago but had to change my date to Jan. OMG!  It has been one long freaking year!!! We all are sooooo excited for you!
Are you planning on JAN? I only have to do the liquids for 2 weeks b4 surgery....are you going to be doing that opit-fast (sp?)

Hey Lisa, Welcome to the board. I am glad that you joined us. I am Emily. I am hoping and praying for a date in January. I have been to all of my pre ops except my psych eval and it is nov 6. it is the last thing I have to do. The last thing I heard from my surgeon's nurse was there are 20 people ahead of me. YIKES I hope some of them drop out. That would be good for me.......lol. I was really hoping to get it done before my deductible starts over. I am still praying. thanks for sharing. Keep us updated.

Hi all.  My name is Robin and I am in the process of getting cleared for surgery ( I am aiming for MLK weekend in January)  I have recently visited the Cardiologist, Nutritionist, Psych eval.  I am actually meeting with the Surgeon tomorrow to go over my options ( from what I hear he is all for laproscopic RNY, and not Lapband.  My pulmonary visit is next week, and then I am scheduled for a stress test (I'm 37) on December 1.  Hopefully my insurance will be approved ( total hoops for that!)  Does anyone have Connecticare out there?  Wish me luck tomorrow!~

Had my appointment with the surgeon.  Everything is on target for mid January.  I have to have an Abdomen and Pelvic ultrasound, and Chest and Upper GI series x-rays in a week.  Dr. doesn't forsee any issues with my insurance hopefully we can get through this hurdle ASAP!

HI Robin. I am Emily. Glad to have you on the board. I have been sick with an ear infection. That is why I haven't responded until now.  I am glad things have gone smoothly for you up til this point. I hope it continues to do so. Insurance hurdles can take awhile, hopefully that won't be the case with you. I am on Medicare so I don't have to have preauthorization for my surgery. I am having RNY also. I just have to jump through the hoops for the surgeon and I am almost done with that. I sitll have to go to the psych eval and it is on Nov 6. I am sure it will be fine though. I worry a little bit about my bipolar and anxiety, but I am well controlled with my meds. So, hopefully no problems with that. Post often and keep us all updated.
