as for my gallbladder thing it got moved to sat the 25th which is today so i'll b back later & let know...thanks for caring everyone, sorry i,ve been gone for a few days but i,ve been working crazy hrs. @ wrk covering for someone on vac; but im back to reg shift now & should have moer time to participate

I'm happy u joined us for the big countdown, although Emily & I r still waiting 4 dates but we'll get em.
And yes u'll miss food for awhile but that will change as i sit here watching my husband who also had surgey( rny>6 yrs out)scarf down pizza as i type this,min amount of course but never the less  able to eat PIZZA; that makes me feel better about missing it, that & seeing how much it changed his (& our) life for the better.
It truly is the right decision

Hi Amanda!  Nice to meet you!  We are the same age!  i totally get what your saying also!  I am getting scared, but I know this is the right decision!   At this point I feel like this is the only way that I will actually lose the weight.  I can't wait to get to get to know you girls!  I glad to see that there are now 4 of us!  

Make that 5. I want to join in here....
I have also been jumping through hoops since August. I have had the cardio, the Psych and am working with the nutritionist. I have 1 more visit with her before my pre-op visit with her and my family to discuss all the changes. then I will start the liquids I suppose.

I do not have down where I have to see the Pulmunary Dr, but the nurse is saying yes, so I guess that is one more hoop. I am a smoker so I also have to quit smoking for 4 weeks prior to the surgery.

I am a little older than you guys, 44 to be exact but I hope you don't mind me sharing.
