My surgeon's office called and cancelled my approved revision on today. He stated that I was too high risk. I'm sooo...sad!! I have to start looking for a new doctor all over again

I will be keeping you in my prayersw and certainly want to support you if you need a friend. Congratulations again. You will be a new woman- I had my surgery on April 23rd and have lost 132 lbs and have 38 lbs to go. Enjoy the prospects of your new life. I encourage you to get into a support group and know of 2 one in Sewickley and one in St Clair Hospital. Let me know who your surgeon is. Patricia
Topic: Just got the good news
I just got the news yesterday that I have been approved for surgery. Now all I have to do is wait for a date. My doctor schedules about a month out and I have to wait until Jan due to work. I have been working on this (including research) for over a year and I am excited that I finally have a date.

I am so excited to finally have a set surgery date. My girlfriend and I are having our surgeries on the same day. She is scheduled for 7:30 and me for 8:30 (unless hers takes longer). I am excited, nervous, excited and more nervous but READY!

I got a date, January 8th, but I have to change it to the 15th! My son is flying home from his honeymoon on the 8th. Hopefully there will still be room on his schedule on the 15th. I'm going to call on Monday.

Congratulations Andrea! I'll be joining you on the 15th. I originally had a date for the 8th but my son is flying home from his honeymoon that day and asked me to wait. I don't mind. We are ON OUR WAY!

I think it's a natural response. I did the same thing when I decided to have surgery. Just try to keep it to a minimum. I am sure your surgeon won' t cancel the surgery. What is your date?

Congrats, Beverly. It's wonderful to know that date, isn't it? I was in Kansas City this past summer for a family reunion. We stayed at a hotel in Overland City. I live in Memphis, so the skyline was different...a breath of fresh air. It was so clean there. I enjoyed myself.
