Wow...so...went to see my Surgeon, Dr. Taller, at Balboa Naval Medical Center on November 26....he told me that the criteria usually takes about 4-6 weeks to get to surgery....so...started on the 29th, did the Psych consult, then the 5th, for ed class, ekg, bloodwork and urinalysis...and have more to come in the next 2 weeks! Went to the NP's class and there were people saying their Dr. told them about such and such date, so...I PIPED right on in and said Dr. Taller said right after the new year when he got back from leave.....SOOOOOOOO....got to where I left an email and voicemail asking her if she had talked..and today..i got THE EMAIL!!!! January 8, 2008, I will begin my journey with all you wonderful people as well!! I'm just beside myself.

I see all the post that are titled I have a date and I smile because I know that we have all come a long way dealing with our obesity, our personal struggles as an obese person, the hassle of dealing with insurance companies and so much more i'm sure. We have all come a long way and I am so happy for everyone who has made it this far with your pending surgery dates. Please remember to keep all of us in your prayers that our surgeries and recuperation all goes well and that we are able to manage our lives and health alot better once this surgery is completed.
